Michel Abt - Board member
Michel Abt has been a member of the Board of Directors of Solutions & Funds since 2012.
He is a partner at FBT Avocats SA, where he co-heads the Tax group and plays an active role in the Banking & Finance and Private Wealth groups. He advises both Swiss and international clients, private and institutional, on cross-border wealth structuring, optimization and transfer.
As a specialist in financial market regulation, Mr. Abt has deep expertise in Swiss and foreign investment funds, including tax aspects relating to fund structuring and investor taxation. He regularly advises banks, asset managers, funds and securities dealers on regulatory and tax issues.
He holds a law degree from the University of Geneva, where he also studied history, English and German. Mr. Abt frequently speaks at industry conferences and has published several articles on taxation and fund regulation. He is a member of the Geneva Bar Association, the Swiss Bar Association, AGDA and AIBL.
